Know Common Symptoms of Kidney Cancer for Early Detection

No doubt, Cancer is one of the most dangerous diseases in the world today. It is so mainly because there are no known cures for it. It's a terrible disease that ends the lives of millions and ruins the lives of our families and friends.

I thought twice before writing about this very sensitive, and for me personally, emotional topic. There are so many different types of cancers and it's a very complex area, but some people are beating it and then going cancer free for many years to come. Here, I would like to discuss some of the points about the symptoms of ‘Kidney cancer’. Being aware of its symptoms is very important, as it can help a person get treatment before the disease gets worse. Anybody who has any experience with this disease, whether they have had it or know someone who has dealt with it, knows just how serious and devastating it can be.

How Kidney Cancer Starts?

It is well-known that the kidneys are important organs in the human body and they perform many functions to keep it healthy. As the name suggests, kidney cancer starts in kidney cells. When the cells malfunction, cancer starts. Two major types include transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) and renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The incidence of kidney cancer has progressively increased in the past few decades. Renal cell carcinoma starts in the cells that line the little tubes inside your kidneys. Children are more probable to develop a type of kidney cancer named Wilms' tumor. Common symptoms include-

       1.   Blood in your pee – you may notice your pee is darker than normal or reddish in color
       2. A lump or pain in the side or abdomen, seemingly random weight loss or fever
       3. Extreme tiredness
       4. Night Sweats
       5.  Anemia and swelling in the ankles or legs
       6. Shortness of breath, coughing up blood, and even bone pain

These symptoms are helpful for early detection. If the patient notices any of these, please contact a doctor immediately. As with most types of cancer, the earlier the tumor is revealed, the better a patient's possibilities for survival. Tumors found out at an initial stage frequently react well to treatment.

Innovations in Kidney Cancer Diagnostics

Through advancements in medical technology, the global market for kidney cancer diagnostics is expected to witness the emergence of new tests that can simultaneously decelerate the pace of tumor maturation between multiple stages of kidney cancer.
